The first day back at my community classroom a space I have worked towards during my post graduate education diploma at UCT in 2016 and working with Butterfly Workshop from 2017 – 2020 by giving art classes to children in Ottery. I gave painting and collage classes to build up experience on my own over two years as I went in regularly to Ottery Community Centre giving and art class once a week. Heinrich from government and Butterfly Project invited me to create a separate art room to separate art students to who were already attending the games program.
In the classroom I observed how the scholar were moving in and out of the library and working out what the locals enjoy doing in their after school classes. I have a fashion class in mind as it could create outcomes for a market. The games groups have finished as an older group of boys meet just to be restful in the hall. My preparation is hugely important as then there is scaffoldings to interaction with children and talk about how to make a practical project. The back up band while I sing my solo lesson. The 10, 11 12 when every one has already been through the 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9. The class is up and the players are on the field. Now I must engineer a doing exercise to get people to work together like dancing at work as the people need to find the harmony or working together.
